Event description

Description

Welcome to the Menopause Cafe Cardiff!

The Cafe runs on the 2nd Tuesday of each month

Menopause is an often taboo topic, little spoken of but affecting so many of us! Lets have an informal chat over a cuppa and cake to bust those menopause myths and talk about all things perimenopause, menopause and life after menopause! All we encourage you to do is share your experiences or simply listen and learn from the experiences of those around you!

The overall aim of The Menopause Cafe movement is "to increase awareness of the impact of the menopause on those experiencing it and their friends, colleagues and families, so that we can make conscious choices about this third stage of life".

A Menopause Cafe is a group directed discussion about menopause with no agenda, objectives or themes. It is a discussion group rather than a support or counselling session, where you will be encouraged to chat about the menopause- this might be how it has affected you or others; how you have coped, what worked for you or just to be better informed before it occurs.

Menopause Cafes are offered:
- On a not for profit basis
- In an accessible, respectful and confidential space
- With no intention of leading people to any conclusion, product or course of action
- Alongside refreshing drinks and cake!

The event is open to all people regardless of age, sex, gender identity, disability, ethnicity, sexual orientation, backgrounds - anyone interested in sharing and learning about menopause is welcome!

I will be there to greet you, introduce the principles, and keep the conversation flowing!

I look forward to meeting you!
