Location: Gejeret, Tottenham, London
The Menopause Cafe Tottenham, welcomes you. We will be hosted by the lovely Gejeret Cafe, a space with a focus on connection and community.
There are over 30 recognised symptoms of the menopause, so there's no surprise that we have questions such as the following:
- How do I survive a hot flush whilst traveling on the Victoria Line?
- Why can't I stop the weight gain, even though I'm barely eating anything?
- How do I prepare for a new relationship, will they be able to deal with my mood swings?
- My bones are creaking so much I feel like I'm one of the transformers, is it just me?
- Why have I started to forget things?
- Why do I feel a sense of dread all the time?
- How do I maintain the pace at work whilst experiencing (peri)menopause symptoms?
- Where can I learn more?
A Menopause Cafe is a discussion group, open to all. Topics are chosen by participants, as we are the experts of our own (peri)menopause experiences and have much to share and learn from each other.
Let's talk (or just listen) about What the Menopause is, Why it happens and How to get through it.
The Menopause Café is a safe and supportive space that aims to have open discussions around the (peri)menopause and aims to increase awareness of the impact it has on those experiencing it, their family, friends and their colleagues.
Menopause Cafes are offered:
- In an accessible, respectful, and confidential space
- We are not-for-profit
- Refreshing drinks and nourishing food is purchasable from Comewell's Cafe
- Open to all, regardless of gender or age
- We do not endorse products or any particular views
We look forward to you joining The Menopause Cafe, Tottenham community. We encourage you to register and tell your friends!

The Menopause Café movement started in Perth , Scotland, in 2017 and has spread worldwide, with volunteers now hosting pop-up events in the UK, Bahrain, Mexico, USA, Canada, Austria and Australia. The charity has also previously organised Menopause Festivals, #FlushFest - the last one was held in Edinburgh and online in September 2023.
Rachel Weiss, founder of the Menopause Café charity, says, “The Menopause Café is for everyone who wants to talk about the menopause, to share their stories, experiences and questions - all made that little bit easier with tea and cake.
“Unfortunately, many people feel that they should just ‘get on with’ the menopause, with some never talking to their friends or family about it. People can come along and just listen, or join in the discussions, hopefully leaving with a clearer sense of the impact of the menopause on those who are experiencing it, alongside their families, friends and colleagues.”
