Susanna will talk about what menopause is, when it is likely to happen and what symptoms can be expected. She will look at things that can help including lifestyle interventions and alternative treatments, and then focus on the pros and cons of HRT. Finally, she will look at the effect of menopause in the workplace, with strategies to help improve things.
Dr Susanna Unsworth MA (Cantab) MB BChir MRCGP (2010) DRCOG DFSRH PGDip Gynaecology is a British Menopause Society Registered Menopause Specialist.
Susanna trained in Cambridge, qualified in 2005 and has worked throughout the eastern region. She worked as a GP for nearly 10 years, then decided to focus more on women’s health. Currently, she is Community GP Gynaecologist at Saffron Walden Community Hospital (which includes the NHS menopause service) and a Specialty Doctor in the Breast Unit at Addenbrooke's Hospital, Cambridge, which includes managing menopause in women after breast cancer.
