Masterclass by Dee Coxon
About this event
Join us for this Masterclass where Dee shares how her lived experience inspired her to help companies ditch the outdated narrative that menopause is a women’s thing and instead give their managers the tools and confidence to manage the challenges of menopause across the workplace, without getting up close and personal.
No need to cover your eyes and ears, there’s nothing icky or medical in this session as we discuss:
• How menopause impacts people
• How menopause impacts the workplace
• The difference between menopause training for people experiencing menopause vs menopause training for managers and why it matters.
Speaker bio: Having navigated an early menopause at 43, Dee Coxon - founder of Menocourse, has first-hand experience of the journey. Being self- employed she was able to manage her symptoms and take control of her professional life in a way that worked for her. It was only when talking to other professional women she realised their journey was entirely different and not for the better. Mainly because unlike her, they were bound by contractual and organisational obligations.
With an MA in Workplace Management, Dee put on her research hat and set out to discover why these women were not being supported at work. As an unintended consequence she quickly learned that in a workplace environment, managers are just as unsupported as those they are required to support resulting in a lose lose situation and one that Dee was determined to remedy.
