Mental Elf Festive Fun Run Birmingham 2025

Mental Elf is a 5km Festive Fun Run suitable for all ages and abilities. Everyone is welcome to take part. Whether you choose to walk, jog, skip or run, its all about having lots of festive fun whilst raising funds to support people in Birmingham with their mental health. There will be a shorter route option of 1.5km again this year.

We are so excited to bring back our Mental Elf Festive Fun Run for its third year!

Taking place at Cannon Hill Park on Sunday 30th November, this is an event for everyone which focuses on bringing people together, not only to fundraise, but to raise awareness for mental health and wellbeing. Mental Elf promotes the benefits of physical activity, connecting with people and doing something to help others.

We all know the festive season can be an extra difficult time for some people. Throughout December 2024, Birmingham Mind's mental health helpline team handled 1,326 calls, including 41 on Christmas Day.

All donations raised during Mental Elf will stay here in Birmingham to help fund the vital services to support people with their mental health. Services such as our Central Wellbeing Hub at The Bullring & Grand Central.

Take part in our festive family fun run at Cannon Hill Park

You can choose to walk, jog, skip or run the 5km/1.5km park run route. The event is open to all ages and abilities, children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

Discounts are available for family and group/corporate teams. Elf fancy dress is very much encouraged!

If you’re just as excited as us then you can get signed up NOW and take advantage of our current “Eager Elf” discounted tickets. Eager Elf tickets will be available until 10pm on Thursday 9th October. We have kept the ticket prices the same as last year.

The location

The Mental Elf fun run will take place in Cannon Hill Park, starting and finishing near the band stand.

Fundraising

Last year almost £20,000 was raised from Mental Elf, which is an incredible amount. We would love to reach £25,000 this year. Through your fundraising efforts, you are helping us reach more people than ever in Birmingham, ensuring they will have the support and respect they need and deserve.
