The Scottish Young Lawyers’ Association (SYLA) invites you to an open and supportive conversation about mental health and wellbeing in the legal profession.
This hybrid evening event will bring together expert voices and lived experiences from across the profession to explore the realities of mental health in law, challenge stigma, and share practical strategies for resilience and inclusion.
Aims of the event:
- Create a safe space for honest discussion about mental health challenges in law.
- Raise awareness of stressors such as burnout, stigma, and perfectionism.
- Promote inclusive approaches to wellbeing that recognise intersectionality.
- Share lived experiences and strategies to foster belonging and psychological safety.
- Encourage networking and peer support within the legal community.
Event Format:
- 6:00 pm – Welcome & Introduction – Eisa Mahmood (SYLA)
- 6:00 – 6:40 pm – Panel Discussion
- 6:40 – 7:00 pm – Audience Q&A (live + pre-submitted via Eventbrite)
- 7:00 – 7:30 pm – Optional Networking (for in-person attendees)
