We talk to businesses, wellbeing specialists and Metro Mayor Steve Rotheram about practical steps to improve mental health in the workplace
About this event
The Good Business Festival presents Mental Health at Work, in partnership with Liverpool City Region Combined Authority and Growth Platform.
This session will be the concluding focal point of Metro Mayor Steve Rotheram’s autumn campaign to promote good mental health and wellbeing at work, beginning on World Mental Health Day.
Before the Covid-19 pandemic, poor mental health was the most common cause of long-term sickness absence and cost the UK economy more than £70 billion each year.
The pandemic has disrupted many aspects of work, and research by the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development has found that it has made the mental health problem worse, especially for those with an existing condition.
Looking to the future, we have an opportunity to introduce new, better workplace practices and a culture that considers mental health equally with physical health.
Join us to discover how business leaders, employees and freelancers can help create a better world of work, and improve their own wellbeing.
