JASON HAS BEEN ACTIVE IN RUGBY IN BERKSHIRE FOR OVER 40 YEARS.
FOLLOWING REDUNDANCY, DIVORCE AND DEPRESSION, TO THOUGHTS, THEN ACTS TO END HIS LIFE. WHEN ASKED BY FRIENDS AT HIS LOCAL RUGBY CLUB IF HE IS OK? HE WOULD ANSWER “YES” – BUT HE WASN’T.
JASON NOW USES HIS RECENT JOURNEY AND TRAINING IN LIFE TO INSPIRE OUR RUGBY CLUBS TO BE MORE EDUCATED, AND MEMBERS TO BETTER UNDERSTAND MENTAL HEALTH – INCLUDING THEIR OWN, AND REACH OUT FOR SUPPORT IN TIMES OF NEED.
Mental Health Awareness (Workshop)
This workshop is an introductory session to raise awareness of mental health. Delegates will gain an understanding of what mental health is and how to challenge stigma. The course gives delegates a basic knowledge of common mental health issues, recognise signs within the work environment and teaches them how to look after their own mental health and wellbeing.
Who should attend? This course is suitable for those looking to understand and improve their knowledge and confidence about mental health and to learn the skills to support their own and others’ positive wellbeing.
