Speaker:Susanne Nichol, Better Health at Work Award
For too long the North East has had a reputation for being an ‘unhealthy’ place to live and work.
To help combat this, a unique partnership project was created. The Better Health project was created and the Better Health at Work Award (BHAWA) was established to take health into the workplace. This partnership is now being taken forward by the 12 Local Authorities in the region, the NHS and the Northern TUC, who coordinate the award.
This event will provide members an opportunity to learn from a panel discussion with employers who are actively engaged with the Award, alongside the Award coordinators and Workplace Health improvement specialists who support the workplace through the process.
Each member of the panel will give a five-minute overview of their role, their organisation and the positive impact it has made on their organisation, followed by a general discussion and Q & A session.
