Mental Health Awareness Training (Know Your Mind)
Event Information
About this event
Are you a support worker? A teacher? A sports coach?
Do you work with children and young people (in BD1,2,3,5,7,8 or 9) in your day to day role?
This training event is targeted at all professionals who work with children and young people who would like to gain a basic awareness of mental health.
Mental health issues are prominent in the young people of Bradford, especially following the difficulties that have arisen from the Covid-19 pandemic. We aim to help all members of the public, who work with children and young people, feel confident that they have the knowledge required to support the young people in their care and help them to access services when necessary.
During the session we will discuss:
- What is mental health?
- Mental health stigma
- Common difficulties
- What to look out for in the young people you work with
- How you can help
- Where to access support
