About this Event

*** COVID-19 I'm very aware that we were all looking forward to getting together in May for our Workshop at the wonderful Lone Barn. Having spoken to Paul and Mel at the Barn and explored how the next few weeks might or might not pan out we felt it a good idea to delay the workshop until later in the year. We've not set a new date yet but we are hoping things will be clearer before the autumn nights kick in and we can enjoy the surroundings of the Barn in late summer. We'll keep you updated. ***

Ahead of Mental Health Awareness Week, we are running an evening workshop at the wonderful location of The Lone Barn in Catherington in the Hampshire Countryside. Proceeds will go to Havant and East Hants Mind Organisation.

It can be hard to know where to turn when a mental health issue comes up, whether it be for ourselves or someone we love. Knowing what conversations to have, what techniques or support are available can be a real life-line.

You would have a relaxed, evening workshop with coffee and cake (other drink options available) at the lovely Lone Barn. Andy Foster (see profile below) is a Mental Health First Aid Trainer and will deliver an interactive talk around Mental Health that covers:

  • Understanding more about mental health issues.
  • Techniques to support yourself and others
  • Resources available locally and nationally
  • Q&A with Mental Health Trainers and a local Psychotherapist
  • Takeaway Goodie/Recovery Bag

You will have an opportunity for both learning, sharing and asking questions of our presenters. We will also have a variety of information available such as books, booklets, local and national services.
