Mental Health Discussion Day - Saturday 19th March 2016
Date and time
Location
Dovecot Studios Ltd
10 Infirmary Street Edinburgh EH1 1LT United KingdomDescription
The Scottish Youth Parliament (SYP), in partnership with the Scottish Government, is holding an event to discuss and explore young people’s views and experiences of mental health services and support in Scotland.
This will be done through an interactive half day discussion, where young people can share their thoughts and ideas. The findings from this event will be reported back to the Scottish Government, and will be used to inform a new Scottish mental health strategy for 2016-19.
On the day, we will be discussing:
- Young people's experiences of mental health support and services;
- How mental health support and services could be improved; and,
- Young people's priorities for the new mental health strategy.
This event is open to all young people in Scotland aged between 14 and 25.
Light refreshments will be provided.
Travel will be booked by SYP before this event.
Please note that, in line with SYP policy, anyone under the age 16 must be accompanied by an adult when travelling.
If you are an MSYP and would like to come to this event, please discuss it with your Support Worker first so that they know you plan to attend.
Please register to attend this event as soon as possible as spaces are limited.
