Are you looking to take an active approach for dealing with mental health in your workplace? The MHFA training course is the answer for you!

Adult 2 day:

Thursday 20th June -9:30am - 5:00pm

Friday 21st June - 9:30am - 5:00pm

Please arrive from 9am to sign in and be seated


What is it:

Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) is recognised by the Royal Society of Public Health and is accredited. It is reccomended by Mental Health First Aid England for organisations and delivered by their qualified trainers at Better Pathways.

It has been designed give an understanding and awareness, spot early warning signs of mental distress, break down stigma and discrimination and also learn how to provide help on a first aid basis.

As well as developing your own mental health awareness, you will be taught a set of skills to allow you to offer guidance and support to someone experiencing a mental health related crisis.

At Better Pathways, we recognise the importance of this course and are delivering them to anyone aged 16+.

On the 2 day MHFA Adult course you will learn to:

  • Give people the skills and awareness to support a person experiencing mental ill-health

  • Encourage them to access support when it’s needed, for a faster recovery

  • Empower people with long term mental health issues to thrive at work

  • Build a supportive culture around mental health which will reduce sickness absence, staff turnover, and stigma

  • Help someone who is dealing with a mental health issue

  • Guide someone towards proper professional help

  • A guide to recovery and looking after your own mental wellbeing

What you will get:

On completion of each course, you will receive a certificate from MHFA England and learning resources including a workbook, manual, Z card with framework and lanyard.

All participants will be required to attend both days of the day courses to gain the accreditation of Mental Health First Aider.
