Mental Health First Aid – Adult, Online.
Mental Health First Aid is the help provided to a person who is developing a mental health problem, experiencing a worsening of an existing mental health problem, or in a mental health crisis.
The first aid is given until the appropriate professional help is received or the crisis resolves.
The online Adult Mental Health First Aid Wales training provides you with advice, guidance and support for how you can support the mental health of the people around you.
Anyone can be a Mental Health First Aider, you don’t have to be a team leader or have any previous experience working with mental health.
The training will support you to help people in times of Mental Health difficulty. It is invaluable for interactions with anyone e.g. friends, family members, co-workers, and others in the community.
There are online modules to complete before and between the two online live training days. The online pre-course 3 modules will take approx. 3 hours and you cannot attend the live online training on Day 1 unless these have been completed.
The remaining online modules between the two live training days will take approx. 2 hours and the access codes for these will be shared with you at the live training on day 1.
You will need to have your camera and microphone on for the live training sessions. Please make sure you dial in from a place where you can listen and engage fully.
Once your payment has been received and processed, you will receive access to the training materials and the first 3 online modules.
Your training will be provided by a licenced Mental Health First Aid Wales instructor.
This training event will take place in English. If you would like to make enquiries about future MHFA Wales training in Welsh, please email workshops@rcs-wales.co.uk.
If your organisation would like to arrange in-house Mental Health First Aider training for a group of staff, contact us at workshops@rcs-wales.co.uk and we will organise it with you.
