This course is accredited for 13 CPD Hours by the European Academy of Chiropractic.

Course Content

Numbers are limited to 16 so that the instructor can keep people safe and supported while they learn.  Please note that full attendance on both days is required for certification. Through a mix of group activities, presentations and discussions, each session is built around a Mental Health First Aid action plan. You will receive a MHFA manual to keep and refer to whenever you need it and when you have successfully completed the two days, then you will be provided with a certificate to say, you are a Mental Health First Aider.

MHFA Two Day course qualifies you as a Mental Health First Aider. Mental Health First Aiders gain; - An in depth understanding of mental health and the factors that can affect wellbeing - Practical skills to spot the triggers and signs of mental health issues - Confidence to step in, reassure and support a person in distress - Enhanced interpersonal skills such as non-judgemental listening - Knowledge to help someone recover their health by guiding them to further support - whether that’s self-help resources, through their employer, the NHS.

Speaker

Jane Cattermole, founder and Director of The Mainly Mental Health Company, is an MHFA England National Trainer and Workplace Associate, with 10 years experience of delivering the wide range of MHFA courses – Adult and Youth – in a variety of settings. Jane is trained as an Integrative Counselling Psychotherapist and worked as a Manager and Specialist Mental Health Employment Advisor for 15 years for a mental health charity.

Terms and Conditions of Booking 

Course organisers reserve the right to make alterations to fees, arrangements and dates for teaching and learning sessions, including the decision to run all or parts of the course in the light of demand. In the event that the course is cancelled or re-scheduled by the course organiser, a full refund of fees will be given, but the college takes no responsibility for travel or accommodation expenses incurred by the delegate. 

If for any reason you are unable to attend the seminar please be aware that fees will be refunded, less a £10 administration charge, for all cancellations received at least 30 days before the event. Cancellations received after the 30 day period but 7 days prior to the seminar date will receive a 50% refund less the £10 administration charge. No refunds can be given after this time.
