Bookings are now being taken to join us for the Online Mental Health First Aid course 19th and 20th January 2021:
The course will offer you the skills, confidence and knowledge to spot the signs and symptoms of mental health issues, which allow you to understand the continuum of mental health and the contributors that can affect the wellbeing of ourselves and others.
Mental Health First Aid is the only evidence-based, internationally accredited mental health course which certifies you as a Mental Health First Aider.
The course offers you the confidence and knowledge to support, guide and assist a person in crisis.
Having attended our 2 day online Mental Health First Aid for Adults course you will gain -
A deeper understanding of mental health and the factors that can affect the well-being of others and your own.
The practical skills required to spot the triggers and signs of mental health issues
The confidence to approach, assess and assist a person in crisis
Enhanced interpersonal skills such as communication skills and non-judgemental listening
Knowledge to help someone recover their positive mental health by guiding them to the appropriate professional and other support.
The training is delivered across four sessions, each with a clear focus on how to apply the skills of a Mental Health First Aider.
There is a blended approach to the learning with four facilitated ‘live’ sessions and self-guided pre-course learning, which should be completed prior to each ‘live’ session.
You will also receive everything you need to complete your training including a MHFA course Manual for reference, Workbooks, Lanyard with easy reference to the Mental Health Action Plan and the experience of your Mental Health First Aid Instructor.
Cost - £300 including the materials listed above
On completion of the 2 days you will receive a certificate that recognises you as a trained Mental Health First Aider (England)
