THIS COURSE IS A 2 DAY COURSE 6TH AND 13TH NOVEMBER 2019 both days run 8.30 - 5 - you must complete both days to obtain the certificate from Mental Health First Aid England.

Qualifies employees as Mental Health First Aiders to enable them to spot the signs and symptoms of mental-ill-health and provide help and support to someone experiencing mental health issues on a first aid basis.

We are qualified and experienced mental health specialists working in partnership with organisations to reduce mental health risk, resulting in increased productivity, performance and profits.

Who Should Attend?

Team leaders, Office managers, HR, First Aiders or anyone interested in supporting mental health in the workplace.

Our aim:

  • Raise awareness of mental health conditions in the workplace.

  • Enable colleagues to spot the signs of mental-ill-health.

  • Give people the confidence to have a conversation.

What you will gain:

  • An in depth understanding of mental health and factors that can affect wellbeing.

  • Practical skills to spot the signs of mental health issues, enabling you to identify the triggers.

  • Confidence to proactively step in, reassure and support a person in distress.

  • Improved non-judgemental interpersonal skills including active listening.

  • Knowledge of further resources to guide and support.

  • An understanding of your own mental health.

  • Steps to keep yourself safe while helping others.

  • A Mental Health First Aid Action Plan.

To ensure people feel safe and supported throughout the course, we limit numbers to 16.

We provide attendees with a MHFA workbook and manual as a toolkit, highlighting learning content, key points to remember and actions to take, enabling them to implement what they have learned immediately. They also receive a certificate of attendance to say they are a Mental Health First Aider.
