About this event

Recent reports suggest that over 12 million working days were lost due to work-related stress, depression or anxiety in just one year. It’s important that employers are transparent and open about mental health issues to support employees and build an inclusive workplace culture.

Increasing the understanding of mental health among staff at all levels helps to break the stigma of mental health. This Mental Health First Aid and Advocacy in the Workplace course is a recognised Level 2 qualification. You will learn how to support individuals with their mental health, as well as what a mentally healthy environment looks like.

Our Mental Health First Aid and Advocacy in the Workplace course is designed to give you the foundation knowledge to support colleagues with their mental health. This qualification would be useful for any role, particularly if you are a line manager

How will I study?

We call our online courses 'flexible' learning as they're designed to fit around your other commitments. You'll get access to our online learning platform where you'll work through your assessments with support from a subject specialist tutor.

How long is the course?

The duration of the course is 7 weeks

Eligibility Criteria

There is Government Funding available for this course as part of the 'Adult Skills Fund'

You must meet the following criteria to be able to study for free:

  • You must currently live in England
  • You must have been resident in the UK/EU for 3+ years, for purposes other than study
  • You must be over the age of 19
  • You must not be on an apprenticeship
