About Mental Health First Aid (MHFA)

MHFA is an internationally recognised training programme designed to teach you how to spot the signs of mental ill-health and provide initial support. The course provides you with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to start important conversations about mental health and promote positive wellbeing.

What Will You Learn?

The two-day course comprises four engaging sessions delivered through presentations, quizzes, group work, videos, case studies, reflective activities and conversation practice. Upon completion, you will be able to:

- Learn how to provide support, even in a crisis, and potentially prevent crises from escalating

- Identify the early signs of mental ill-health and develop the skills to approach, and

- Help individuals access the support they need, whether through self-help resources, professional services, support groups, or other pathways to recovery
