Event description
This Adult MHFA Refresher LIVE online course is for those who have completed the full one or two day MHFA courses.

About this Event

This online course is the same training you would receive in the training room, Mental Health First Aid England have adapted it to online to make it accessible during the lock down.

Please note that the MHFA Refresher is only for people who have completed an Adult MHFA Two Day or One Day, or Armed Forces MHFA Two Day course. Just like physical first aid, we recommend that Mental Health First Aiders and MHFA Champions attend a Refresher course every three years.

What will you learn?

The four hour MHFA Refresher course will empower you to:

• Keep your awareness of mental health supports current

• Update your knowledge of mental health and what influences it

• Practice applying the Mental Health First Aid action plan

Learning takes place through a mix of presentations, group discussions and workshop activities. The course is delivered LIVE online, via the Zoom.

You will need internet access, and PC/laptop with video & audio connection. We will contact you before the event to give you one-on-one support with technical aspect of joining the virtual classroom.

Safe Learning

We limit numbers to a maximum of 12 people per course so that the instructor can keep people safe, supported and fully engaged in the virtual environment while they learn.

Mental health training can be an emotive subject, therefore along side the MHFA Instructor there will be a qualified MHFAider to give assistance to anyone if they wish to 'step out' of the class for a while to talk and get support.

Before the course you will be sent:

• MHFA manual and workbook

Once you have completed the course and feedback you will receive:

• A certificate of attendance

MHFA England values this course at £125 per person. As independent instructors we charge just £70 pp.
