About this event
Mental Health First Aid Refresher Course - Accredited by MHFA England.
This half day course is for people who want to refresh their MHFAider® training. Just like physical first aid, MHFAider® training should be kept up to date. This four hour course will refresh your knowledge, give you an opportunity to practise your skills and become qualified for another three years.
Learning takes place through a mix of instructor led training, group discussions, individual and group activities all facilitated by our Instructor Members who are accredited by MHFA England.
We limit numbers to 25 people per course so that we can keep you safe and supported while you learn. We strive for all of our learning content to be as accessible and inclusive as possible so please let us know if you have any accessibility requirements during your onboarding.
If your MHFAider® qualification is coming up for renewal, enrol now to make sure you keep your knowledge and skills up to date and remain a valuable resource for those in need.
This Mental Health First Aid Refresher course is only for people who have completed the Adult Mental Health First Aider (MHFAider®) training or Mental Health Champion training accredited by MHFA England within the past three years and want to renew their qualification.
When you Refresh your Mental Health First Aid Certification, you will:
Renew your skills – You will get a reminder of the training you initially undertook to make sure that you are confident in how to deal with a Mental Health crisis, know how to support others who are struggling with their Mental Health and how to maintain and support your own wellbeing.
Update your knowledge of Mental Health support – We’ll share updated statistics and trends around Mental Health and wellbeing including how to talk confidently with the appropriate language about Mental Health in order to help reduce stigma and discrimination.
Share learnings and best practice – We’ll share learnings and best practice from learner’s Mental Health First Aid experiences so you can all learn from one another.
Practice applying the Mental Health First Aid action plan – You’ll get a reminder of the Mental Health First Aid action plan and some practice applying it to case studies in order to improve your confidence in using MHFA and remain ready to use it when required.
Ask questions and get advice – After three years of being an MHFAider®, you may have some questions you’d like to ask or some advice you’d like to get. Your instructor will be very happy to help.
Some of our most well known clients include: Jaguar Landrover, Poundland, The NHS, The Design Museum, Arcadia, The NEC, ITV, Stella McCartney and we also work with many individuals and micro businesses too.
