Mental Health First Aid Two day – Adults
Mental Health First Aid is a nationally recognised training course helping people to spot the signs / symptoms of mental ill health and better understand how to help someone when they are developing or experiencing mental health issues.
MHFA will not teach you how to be a therapist, but will teach you to listen, reassure and respond, even in a crisis.
Delegates will learn how to:

Spot the triggers and the early warning signs

Be proactive in reducing the stigma around mental health issues

Be more confident in supporting someone developing or experiencing difficulties

Use interpersonal skills such as non-judgemental listening

Assist with recovery by offering the appropriate support, sign post to services such as self-help resources, through their employer, NHS or a mix.
The sessions will be a mix of presentations, group discussions and group activities. Numbers are limited to 15 people so the instructor can offer a safe and supported learning environment.
You'll receive an MHFA Standard manual that you can take away with you at the end of the course and an attendance certificate from MHFA England to say you are now a Mental Health First Aider.

How much will it cost?
The MHFA Two Day course takes place over two consecutive full days at a cost of £300 per person.
For Voluntary Sector Organisations we do offer a subsidized rate of £200 per person. Please contact us for more information on this and to see if you qualify for this offer.

The course is being held at Holiday Inn Express, Rockingham Road, Kettering, NN14 1UD
How long will it run for?
The course will run for two days at the following times:
16th July 2019 - 9:00 to 17:30
17th July 2019 - 9:00 to 17:30
Is lunch provided?
Light refreshment and lunch will be provided.
What's the refund policy?
If the workshop is cancelled by Enable, you will be offered a place on a course on an alternative date. If a suitable alternative date cannot be arranged, your payment will be refunded in full.
In the event of a participant’s non-attendance or cancellation within 30 working days before the beginning of the course, the payment is non-refundable subject to our discretion.
