Mental Health First Aid Training
Event Information
About this Event
Mental Health First Aid is accredited training that teaches the individual skills and knowledge enabling them to look after both their own mental wellbeing and that of other people’s.
A Mental Health First Aider is equipped with the skills to be able to spot the signs and symptoms of mental ill-health and have the confidence to offer support to someone who may be experiencing mental illness. They will gain an in-depth understanding of mental health and the factors that can affect our wellbeing.
The learning is taught through both online training and live facilitated sessions, delivered by an experienced, accredited Luminate trainer.
The course combines live presentation, videos, individual exercises, case study work and online quizzes. The live sessions will be held over Zoom.
Each attendee will receive a handbook and a workbook which they will utilise within the session but also to keep and refer back to. They will also receive an e-certificate from Mental Health First Aid England after completing the training.
