Event description

Description

Please note: This training is for King's College London staff members only.

MHFA England is the national licensed organisation for MHFA training.

Mental Health First Aid England has allowed Nicky Ball and Navroop Kullar to deliver Adult MHFA.

Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) is the mental health equivalent of physical first aid. This training provides participants with the skills and confidence to recognise the signs and symptoms of common mental health issues and effectively guide a person towards the right support. With 1 in 4 people in the UK now experiencing a mental health issue every year in the UK, the need to provide trained first aiders is more important than ever. With an ever growing student and staff population, it is important to train as many of us as possible at King's to create the safest environment possible for all.

MHFA England’s mission is to increase mental health awareness literacy and reduce the stigma associated with mental ill health. MHFA is an internationally recognised course, taught in 24 countries around the world. There are now over two million people trained in MHFA skills worldwide. Further information about MHFA England and its courses can be found at mhfaengland.org
