About this Event

Previous delegates have said:

"Well worth doing - totally invaluable training. A TOTAL MUST HAVE IN LIFE!!"

"What an amazing 2 days. Fantastic instructors who encouraged us all ... and created an environment of trust where we/I felt comfortable sharing personal experiences - thank you"

"Excellent course both in content and length"

"Enthusiastic and knowledgeable instructors who made everyone feel at ease"

Our venue is a beautiful converted water mill, spanning a trout-filled section of the River Itchen. We are very close to Riverside Park, a picturesque long stretch of the river which makes a fabulous destination for a mind-calming lunchtime stroll.

By successfully completing this course will be able to call yourself a 'Mental Health First Aider' and will have an internationally recognised certificate to prove it!

This course, certified and quality controlled by MHFA England, is designed to teach people how to communication effectively with those whose mental health is poor. The course focuses on the ALGEE action plan, an easy to remember and effective tool for helping those who are experiencing mental health issues.

Whether you need this course for your workplace, voluntary activities or social/private life, this course teaches invaluable information and skills that empower you to engage with those whose mood is low.

This is NOT a counselling course. You will not be qualified to provide any form of treatment after completing this two-day course. You will, however, be taught tools that you can use to help those who are looking for someone to provide help, reassurance and guidance due to an illness that many people feel ill-equipped to recognise or deal with.

As our delegate (above) said, this course is A TOTAL MUST HAVE IN LIFE!! Book today to raise your knowledge of mental health issues and become a champion for those who are finding it a challenge to stay positive in your workplace and social circle.
