We discuss cricket and mental health, exploring how athletes get into peak mental fitness and issues of mental ill health in cricket.

About this Event

In the second Lagom Live event we will be talking cricket and mental health. The event will view both how top athletes get into peak mental fitness as well as exploring issues of mental ill health in cricket.

Joining us will be:

Dr Jamie Barker- Associate Professor of Applied Performance Psychology who has worked with the Football Association, the England and Wales Cricket Board, Nottinghamshire County Cricket Club, and Great Britain Rowing.

Mark Boyns- Founder of Opening Up Cricket, a campaign set up to promote mental wellbeing in the cricket community in memory of his friend Alex Miller, who died by suicide in December 2012 aged 23.

Fabian Cowdrey- Former English professional cricketer who played for Kent County Cricket Club. He now runs CowCorner Events who in 2019 have had 4 sell-out affairs focusing on raising awareness of mental health in sport!
