Description

*Open to incoming GCU students/applicants who intend to study here from September 2019 only*

This programme is open to all prospective students who have accepted an offer of a place at GCU and intend to start their studies this academic year (19/20). It aims to provide a smoother transition to university, to address anxieties around starting university and to explore the support available at GCU. We will also look at self-care and how to look after your mental health whilst at university.

Programme schedule:

10am - Welcome to GCU

10.30am - Introduction to support at university

11am - Break

11.15am - Introduction to Mind Genius

12pm - Lunch (not provided)

The afternoon session will focus on wellbeing and we will hear from one of our Mental Health Advisors, as well as staff from the Arc (health & fitness) and the Students Association. A tour of the campus will be included. A quiet space will be available. A full programme will be emailed one week before the session.
