Mental Health: Panic, Anxiety and OCD Training

Panic, anxiety and obsessive compulsive disorder are areas of mental health that are increasing diagnosis today. With this in mind, it is essential that an awareness and understanding of how these feelings and behaviours are manifest and how best to support clients experiencing the effects of panic, anxiety and OCD.
This training course is ideal for anyone working with clients who display symptoms of panic, anxiety or OCD, from mild symptoms to more advanced.
This course will:
identify possible causes of panic,anxiety and OCD
recognise different panic triggers
explore the various problems that can occur as a result of panic
discuss strategies to prevent and manage feelings of panic and anxiety
identify different types of obsessions and compulsions
explore available solutions, treatments, coping techniques, CBT, relaxation, complimentary therapies and prescription medication
discuss NHS guidelines for the ‘stepped care’ approach to treating OCD
discuss helpful and unhelpful approaches to support
