Mental Health Support for Freelancers with Ouch Training Ltd

This course raises awareness of mental health. It covers:

• What mental health is and how to challenge stigma

• A basic knowledge of some common mental health issues

• An introduction to looking after your own mental health and maintaining wellbeing

• Confidence to support someone in distress or who may be experiencing a mental health issue

Format: This is a half day course delivered online

Learning takes place through a mix of presentations, group discussions and workshop activities

Everyone who completes the course gets:

A certificate of attendance to say you are Mental Health Aware

A manual to refer to whenever you need it

Your MHFA Manual/Workbook, sent via post, (to the postal address you provide) will arrive approximately five days before the course commences, should you not receive these please let us know and we can chase these for you. However, don't worry this is available digitally here MHFA Adult Aware Manual

Please ensure you have your camera and audio on for the session as it is interactive.

Please note Zoom meeting details will be sent out via Eventbrite 1 hour before the session.

Transcripts of the sessions will not be recorded.

Our lawful basis to collect Equality data is consent. Article 6.1.a of UK GDPR.

Trade union membership processing is carried out in the course of our legitimate activity as a trade union. Article 9.2.d of UK GDPR

Equality data is only processed with the explicit consent of students, and this data is only collected on a voluntary basis. Article 9.2.a of UK GDPR.

Who will your data be shared with?

Personal data will be shared the training providers and tutors.

Zoom/Teams – on-line training sessions.

Data may be stored by these companies outside the United Kingdom. This will be under standard contract clauses.

How will we keep your data secure?

Data will be kept in an encrypted format on secure servers.
