Description

We are pleased to welcome Nellie Supports to the Eco Innovation Centre where they will be talking about…

“Mental Wellbeing in the Workplace”

Nellie supports individuals, communities and business. They also support employers, HR teams, & employees to take a positive approach to mental health in the workplace.

A deterioration in mental health can be triggered by many things: stress; anxiety; poor wellbeing; health issues and isolation, just being some of the key issues.

Nellie supports offer a bespoke employees’ Support Service to ensure businesses meet their standards.

Very often the person requiring support cannot source it themselves, so you as their employer may need to take responsibility, with Nellie’s Employees’ Support Service in place your responsibility is met.

Nellie breaks down the barriers whilst providing a professional and friendly approach to those seeking help and support. They can supply the following services:

- On-site support to everybody

- Mental wellbeing awareness campaigns onsite

How to deal with Workplace Stress

1. Learn how to relax - Therapies such as mindfulness, yoga, and meditation all help to “switch off” your brain and give it a chance to truly relax.

2. Eat healthily - Low-fat, high-fibre, carbohydrate-rich meals with plenty of fruits and vegetables. They soothe us without sapping our energy and give us the nutrients we need to boost our immune system.

3. Talk - More and more people are working in isolation, either on the road or working from home. If you do, make sure you spend time talking to friends, other work colleagues, or join a networking group,

4. Use the support available - If your company offers wellbeing services, employee supervision or counselling services use them. You may not think your “problem” is big enough to speak to someone but wellbeing services should be used as a preventative measure. Talking to someone about the small issues can prevent them from becoming a major problem.
