Event description

Description

Based around R.D Laing’s work ‘Knots’, this creative, inventive and practical workshop, delivered by composer Gary Lloyd and chorographer Bettina Carpi, will incorporate dance, drama and music. Knots consists of a series of powerful, witty, unexpected dialogue-scenarios that can be read as poems or brief plays. Each chapter describes a different kind of relationship—the "knots" of the title—bonds of love, dependency, uncertainty, jealousy.

This session is open to anyone with an interest in mental health or Performing Arts with the aim of instigating conversations around mental wellbeing. Whilst the session will incorporate dance, drama and music, the session will encourage everyone to engage at the level to which they feel most comfortable.
