This online workshop is for GCU staff (not PGRs) who are in lecturer or research staff roles, or who are academics new to GCU.

It will introduce you to the benefts of a mentoring partnership, and share the aims and process for the GCU Academic Mentoring programme. It will support you to reflect on your prior experiences of 'learning conversations', and will set expectations for the style of learning that will take place within the programme. We wll guide you to understand what mentoring is and isn't, and to set your own objectives for mentoring.

Through this practical workshop, you will also gain skills useful for mentoring your colleagues and students.

Following the workshop, and completion of a mentee profile, you will be matched with a mentor, in a fully supported mentoring programme.
