Overview

What is a mentor-a-thon? How can I use it to grow my social venture in Manchester, with the help of a cross-sector group of mentors?

On 7th and 8th January 2026, Manchester Social Economy Alliance, backed by Manchester City Council, will be holding a mentor-a-thon at DiSH, Heron House, 47 Lloyd Street, Manchester, M2 5LE. Participants will have the opportunity to troubleshoot challenges, gain new perspectives and access cross-sector business support, by sharing a challenge with a ‘sounding board’ group of mentors through a structured, chaired discussion. They will also have the opportunity to participate in a Community Soup on the evening of 7th January, pitching for a pot of cash to progress their social venture.

This is open to people who either live in Manchester or whose work has an impact in Manchester.

Interested in participating, either as a mentor or to be mentored? Come along to this information session in which you'll learn more about the structure of the mentor-a-thon and have the opportunity to ask your burning questions.

Attendance at an information session isn't mandatory - if you're ready to sign up to be mentored simply complete the expression of interest form, or email abby@flourishtogether.org.uk to apply to be a mentor.
