Biography Of Speakers

Dr Kaushik Paul

With a background of over 20 years in general dental practice, hospital and community dentistry , Kaushik is keen to meet you and support you on your journey within mydentist within the Northwest , Central and Northern Ireland region.

Along with his roles as the Clinical Director , Kaushik continues to work as a Tier 2 Oral surgery Provider in primary care as well as working part time at the Birmingham Dental Hospital as Speciality Dentist in Oral Surgery . He is also a Honorary Clinical Lecturer in Oral Surgery at the School of Dental Sciences, University of Birmingham since 2008 and is actively involved in teaching ,assessments ,career planning and supporting undergraduate teaching and recruitment within the Dental school and in the training of DF1, DCT and other Dental and DCP colleagues especially in oral surgery within the UK.

He is passionate about career development and mentoring of dental professionals both within MyDentist and the wider dental community and takes a keen interest in growing the professional careers of his colleagues within MyDentist.


Dr Manish Prasad

Manish is a practicing clinician working within myDentist for over 20 years, as well as being a Clinical Director since February 2014. In his role as a Clinical Director, he is committed to supporting effective team working to ensure high levels of clinical standards and quality patient care.

He has a strong commitment to continuous personal development through attending numerous courses, post graduate qualifications and reading peer reviewed journals.

He has been on the accredited mentor’s list with Health Education England. A Fellow of the College of General Dentistry and has been have been a facilitator with the certified membership programme. He is also on the GDC ‘s panel of Clinical Advisors and Clinical Expert Witness as well as being part of a national network of dental mentors that supports colleagues that aims to provide dental professionals with a mentor and access to support involving career choices, leadership development or professional issues, with an interest in supporting on PDP, reflective writing and audits.

He is passionate about supporting colleagues through mentoring, induction, formulating personal development plans and supporting clinician career development
