Mentoring - development the personal way
Tuesday, 11 October 2016 from 18:00 to 20:00 (BST)
Continuous personal development is at the heart of what it means to be a professional. There are many was to achieve this including mentoring which is both an ancient art and a modern practice.
Some of you responded to a survey sent out by your Branch earlier this year to find out your requirements and interest in Mentoring. In addition CIPD branches across the Midlands region have been sharing good practice and developing their approaches to Mentoring. As a result the Leicestershire and Northamptonshire branches are holding a joint Mentoring meeting in October which will provide an introduction to mentoring for both mentors and mentees
The meeting will cover:
- Member to Member Mentoring - an update on CIPD’s work in this area and plans for the future
- Steps Ahead Mentoring - an update on this CIPD partnership with Job Centre Plus which will be led by Natalie Ellis who is the Midlands Ambassador for this scheme
- Launch and Action Planning for the Leicestershire and Northamptonshire Branch Schemes - this will be your chance to get involved either as a Mentor or Mentee (or both!)
- Training Opportunities - an overview of the training options that will be offered
Mentoring is an important opportunity in any professional’s career. Join us for this meeting to boost your career potential.
The venue for this meeting is Hothorpe Hall which is located on the Leicestershire - Northamptonshire border, near Market Harborough and about 10 minutes drive from junction 20 of the M1.
