About this event
The MERI Symposium is a great opportunity for staff and students to meet in a supportive, collaborative environment to discuss current research projects, research proposals and to act as a catalyst for new ideas.
We are delighted to announce that Professor Rory Duncan, our new Pro-Vice Chancellor for Research and Innovation, will be giving a talk about his research using high resolution imaging to understand disease. Two new academic staff in the College of Business, Technology and Engineering, Salah Talamali and Hessam Jahangiri, will also be giving presentations. In addition to this, there will be talks from eight 2nd year MERI PhD students as well as a lunchtime poster session for ten 1st year MERI PhD students.
A full and exciting day’s programme is envisaged, starting off with a welcome from Chris Sammon at 09:50 hrs and concluding with prize giving at 16:40 hrs, followed by networking drinks at 17:00 hrs. There will be a buffet lunch and light refreshments throughout the day.
Please be aware that once a session is started you will need to be in attendance from start to finish. The full programme for the day will be circulated nearer the time.
