Overview of the event:

The West Midlands Academic Health Science Network (WMAHSN) invites you to attend their Annual Awards Ceremony, which will take place online for the very first time, on Tuesday 30 March 2021.

The awards reflect the WMAHSN's dual aim of improving health and creating wealth, as well as the organisation's key priorities and themes.

This year the categories are:

Cardiovascular Disease Prevention and Management Innovation Award
Driving Digital Transformation Innovation Award
Medicines Optimisation and Management Innovation Award
Mental Health Resilience Innovation Award
Meridian Innovation and Improvement Champion Award
MidTECH Award for Best NHS-Developed Innovation
Patient Safety and Improvement Award
Workforce Innovation Award

This year the panel would like to recognise the West Midlands response to COVID, and shine a light on rapid innovation. The Meridian Award will be awarded to any COVID related submission from the above categories, that stood out to the panel.

We are pleased to welcome back our host from last year's Awards, Des Coleman.

The awards will start at 6.30 pm and conclude by 8.30 pm, all within the comfort of your own homes! but don't let this stop the glitz and glamour like at last year's awards!

As we will be celebrating in a virtual capacity, please extend this invitation to your colleagues, friends or family who may wish to join in the celebrations.
