Diabetes Programme 2016 for GPs and Practice Nurses, Horsham and Mid-Sussex and Crawley
The MERITTM Programme for 2016 has been developed by Novo Nordisk in collaboration with Horsham and Mid Sussex CCG
The aim of the programme is to support the development of skills and competency in the management of Type 2 Diabetes in the primary care setting.
What is the MERITTM programme?
MERIT (Meeting Educational Requirements Improving Treatment) is a flexible programme developed by Novo Nordisk. MERIT™ supports the Skills for Health Diabetes Competency Framework and is for all primary care healthcare professionals.
It consists of classroom-based education designed to provide delegates with the theory required to support diabetes management followed by the provision of tailored clinical support from specialist diabetes teams to help delegates consolidate the theory into practice. It is strongly recommended that GP and Practice Nurse colleagues attend together to maximise learning opportunities back in practice.
