The Oxford Club of Constructing Excellence is pleased to host its 16th event of 2013. Members and prospective members are invited to attend a tour and prize giving at the T.S Eliot Lecture Theatre at Merton College.
The Lecture Theatre at Merton College was completed in 2010 and the designers, Ridge, will be on hand to describe aspects of the design and construction of the project.
The building is situated between existing 1930’s buildings in Rose Lane. Care was taken, in the design, to ensure the new building provded a sympathetic addition, responding to the scale of the existing buildings with appropriate massing and materials. The finished product, which we will tour, features a 140 seat lecture theatre and seminar rooms enhancing still further the educational environment and conference opportunities of Merton College.
