Meta skills are an emerging element across Scottish Education. These skills share much common ground with the skills, values and attitudes of Global Citizenship. In this Global Teachers' Network session we will hear from secondary and primary teachers using these skills based approaches in the classroom.
The aims of the session:
- Examine the Meta Skills and Global Citizenship Frameworks, with expert input from Skills Development Scotland and Scotland’s Development Education Centres.
- Explore the common ground between the two frameworks using classroom examples.
- Hear from teachers with experience of developing these skills in primary and secondary.
- Signposting towards relevant resources and exemplification.
There will be an opportunity for discussion and a chance to offer your own teaching experiences around these approaches. Relevant resources will be shared.
