About this event

Hello all,

The final speaker for this year’s Metamaterials Colloquia series is Prof Andrea Di Falco (University of St Andrews), whose talk is titled 'Metamaterial platforms for nonlinear optics, imaging and biophotonics applications'.

Current advances in photonics have given us ways to control and manipulate light virtually at will. We have learnt how to bend it, slow it down and even stop it, confine it in extremely reduced spatial regions and ultimately determine its path. This progress has been generated by enabling technologies that give access to light-matter interactions at sub wavelength scales.

In this talk Prof Di Falco will present the portfolio of techniques developed at the University of St Andrews to fabricate metamaterials and devices for applications that range from nonlinear optics and holography for anti-counterfeiting to Biophotonics.

You will receive the Zoom link after registration, via email.
