Poetry Workshop: Metaphorically Speaking!

Why is a library like a dog, but not a cat? What starsign is a library? Which parts of the library are selfish, introverted or generous? How do you write a library’s Tinder profile? Would its first name be Dewey?

Help to generate ideas for a birthday poem that celebrates this great place. Join Darlington Library’s Poet-in-Residence, Caroline Walling, to explore and reimagine Darlington Library in ways that reveal the extent of its personality. In this gorgeous, relaxed space Caroline will guide you through activities that dig into your imagination. Let’s see what can be revealed about the library’s characteristics; its thoughts, behaviours, feelings and life experiences.

No writing experience necessary, just bring a willingness to have fun and give it a try.
