Saturday 29th June, 1pm

The Capstone Theatre, Liverpool

FREE (Priority Admission tickets recommended)

For this Music for the Mind and Soul concert, one of the brightest sarod players of his generation takes to the stage alongside a seasoned Tabla master. Having begun learning the Sarod at a young age, Indrayuddh Majumdar was principally under the tutelage of his father, world-renowned sarod maestro, Pandit Tejendra Narayan Majumdar. He has a keen interest in all genres of music and is passionate about preserving the purity of Indian Classical music. Indrayuddh has performed extensively in India, the USA and Europe, and has performed alongside the tabla legend, Pandit Swapan Chaudhuri. Indrayuddh was the first Indian to receive the Salon Di Virtuoso Award in New York in 2018. Kousic Sen has accompanied many notable musicians and dancers throughout India and is a regular participant in major music festivals around the world. He has toured extensively in USA, Canada, Europe and South and East Asia. Kousic has also collaborated with musicians from other traditions, working with Western, Cuban, Indonesian, Persian and Spanish musicians.
