TThe Adult MHFA One Day course qualifies you as an MHFA Champion

Mental Health First Aid Champion is an internationally recognised training course developed by MHFA England, this course is for anyone wishing to become a MHFA Champion. The online one day course qualifies you as an MHFA Champion, giving delegates an understanding of common mental health issues , the knowledge and confidence to advocate for mental health awareness , the ability to spot signs of mental ill health and the skills to support positive wellbeing .

The course is ideal for anyone with people management responsibilities. 

Every Online MHFA Champion course is delivered by Mental Health First Aid Instructors who are registered by MHFA England to deliver the accredited courses. MHFA England training programme is accredited by the Royal Society for Public Health.

Course Structure

The online version of our course delivers the same learning outcomes of the popular ‘face-to-face’ one day MHFA Champion course in an accessible and flexible online format. The course is structured around two live sessions.

Session 1

• About Mental Health First Aid
• About mental health and stress in the workplace
• Stigma and discrimination
• Depression
• Anxiety disorders
• Other mental health issues (eating disorders, self-harm, psychosis)
• Early warning signs of mental ill health
• Alcohol, drugs and mental health

Session 2

• Applying the Mental Health First Aid action plan
• Action 1: Approach the person, assess and assist with any crisis
• Suicide
• Action 2: Listen and communicate non-judgementally
• Action 3: Give support and information
• Action 4: Encourage the person to get appropriate professional help
• Action 5: Encourage other supports
• Recovery
• Building a mentally healthy workplace
• Action planning for using MHFA

If the workshop is cancelled by Edu-c8 Inspired Training, you will be offered a place on a course on an alternative date. If a suitable alternative date cannot be arranged, your payment will be refunded in full.

In the event of a participant’s non-attendance or cancellation within 30 working days before the beginning of the course, the payment is non-refundable subject to our discretion.
