London guest speaker: Talvin Singh OBE
Talvin Singh has been immersed in the music industry since the age of 15, and by the age of 18 was a sought after programmer, producer & tabla artist, going on tour with Courtney Pine in the late 1980s.
From the 1990s he presented new cross-culture artists such as Asian Dub Foundation, and conceived and licensed compilation album "Anokha Soundz of Asian Underground".
His 1999 debut solo album "OK" won the celebrated Mercury Music Prize and the South Bank Prize in the same year.
He continues to write music and produce for personal projects, and is a Hollywood and Bollywood icon.
