Award winning British guitarist Michael Butten will be performing a programme of early music transcriptions for the guitar. The concert will begin with beautiful renaissance lute music by Dowland and da Milano, vihuela pieces by Narvaez, Michael's own transcription of a Purcell harpsichord suite, and finally Bach's magnificent Violin Sonata No. 3 in C Major, featuring the longest Fugue he ever composed.
