Description

Live at All Hallows are delighted to welcome Michael McDermott and Heather Horton for the Leeds date of their first joint UK tour.

Following their critically acclaimed success with Six On The Out by The Westies, and Michael McDermott’s solo album Willow Springs, both of which received numerous Best Of 2016 nominations, Michael and Heather embark on their first joint UK tour.

Michael McDermott - Shadow in the Window

Michael was voted Best Male artist by Americana-UK readers in 2016 and saw his album hit the number one spot on the Euro Americana charts.

The Westies have featured on both Bob Harris's Country Show and Sunday show. Michael’s live shows are legendary. In 2015 he broke off a European tour for one night in London, described aptly by the local promoter "the date was May Day bank holiday Sunday and because it was a 3-day weekend we had people flying and driving from all over the UK for that one night. It was a barnstormer".

The tour co-incides with Heather Horton’s new solo album “Don’t Mess With Mrs Murphy” being released in the UK by the acclaimed Americana label At The Helm. Recorded in Nashville it looks set to introduce Heather to a much wider audience and has already started to receive critical acclaim ahead of its release.

Heather Horton - Wheelchair Man

The evening will be a mix of Heather and Michael performing solo, as well delving into The Westies catalogue.
