With clips from over thirty years of making history documentaries, historian and film maker Michael Wood talks about some of the different ways of looking at history for popular audiences, including New World, Chinese and Indian history.
This event will begin at 5pm, and will be followed by your questions and a drinks reception.
Michael Wood is an English historian and broadcaster who has presented television documentary series such as Great Railway Journeys, In the Footsteps of Alexander the Great, and The Story of China. He has also published numerous works on Dark Age history, including In Search of the Dark Ages and The Domesday Quest. In 2013 he was appointed Professor of Public History at the University of Manchester.
