Micro-meaning Building Cultures of Belonging
Overview
Micro-meaning: Building Cultures of Belonging
A reflective, practice-based session for those shaping inclusive spaces across the diocese
Everyday interactions carry micro-meanings — subtle signals that shape who feels seen, safe, and valued. This interactive session explores how microaggressions and exclusionary dynamics show up in our work and relationships, and how we can respond with care, clarity, and accountability.
Through spacious reflection and practical exercises, you’ll be equipped with tools to:
• Recognise how micro-meanings and microaggressions shape everyday interactions
• Explore personal and collective responses to exclusionary dynamics
• Practice respectful, trauma-informed ways to respond to moments of harm or exclusion
This session is emotionally safe, neurodiversity-friendly, and open to all diocesan teams.
