Event description

Description

Come along to the first digital workshop at Blyth Library during the May half-term! This session is for children aged 8-12 to gain an insight of digital and STEM.

The children will code a BBC Micro:bit to be used as a compass to help to navigate a treasure hunt (with fake treasure they will create). The treasure will be created based on a well known book held within the library, before being hidden for other children to find using instructions and the programmed compass.

No experience is needed, but booking is essential. Adults must accompany the child (but you are welcome to use the library facilities during your visit).

For any queries ahead of the event please contact Nathan.Fuller@northumberland.gov.uk.
